Open on Saturdays Year Round
The Coastal Alabama Farmers & Fishermen’s Market goal is to provide local fruits, vegetables, seafood, and non-certifiable agricultural products through direct marketing for the general public and commercial establishments in an enjoyable place. The comfortable, covered facility is open year-round rain or shine. The market will make productive use of its expansive 32-acre property to support Gulf Coast horticulture, healthy living and locally grown foods.
All Day Event
Get ready for a unique and tasty culinary experience as up to 30 teams vie for top honors in an epic Surf ‘n Turf Battle at historic Fort Gaines on TBD, sponsored by Alabama Coasting and the South Mobile County Tourism Authority! The Cast Iron Skillet Cook-Off is part of Alabama Coasting’s Bama-Q-Grilling Series and the winning team will receive a Golden Ticket to the World Food Championships in Dallas, TX.
Additional programming includes a People’s Choice sampling contest, cooking demonstrations, a local vendor’s market, and historic culinary presentations. Regular Fort Gaines admission fee required.

Oct 6 – 9 (Gulf Shores) – Starting @ 10:00am
Savor fresh from the Gulf seafood at the Annual National Shrimp Festival during this four-day event that attracts over 300,000 people. The festival will play host to more than 100 hours of musical entertainment featuring a lineup of national, regional, and local acts. There will be musical acts to please all palates, including blues, Motown, southern rock, jazz, zydeco, and country. The music plays daily Thursday through Sunday.
The 27th Annual Super Chili Bowl Cook-Off is another special event at the famous Flora-Bama Lounge! This year let’s have even more fun! There will be a *Best Decorated Booth Contest* so get creative to show off your team. Saturday, February 12th, 2022.
The Chocolate & Cheese Festival is coming to Foley, AL on Saturday, November 13 at Heritage Park. Live music, food vendors, and other entertainment! 10 AM – 7 PM. $5 entry, kids 12 & under are free.
The Flora-Bama invites you to eat, drink and be thankful at their traditional Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner. The turkey and ham will be provided by the Flora-Bama.
Beginning at 12Pm on Thanksgiving Day, patrons are encouraged to bring a covered dish as we will begin serving at 1PM.
This four-day festival will showcase almost 200 booths of fine art and arts and crafts vendors and musical acts to please all palates, including blues, Motown, southern rock, jazz, zydeco, and country. The music plays daily Thursday through Sunday.
Food is another highlight of the festival with 50 local and regional vendors lining the boardwalk at the public beach with mouth-watering delights.
Break out your lederhosen for Flora-Bama’s Oktoberfest. A great event for beer and food lovers. Earn a free stein and enjoy complimentary German food from the buffet.
